I think what you mean, is green module LOL:thinking:
If you can afford a green diode, I want your job.

Lol i dont get it... Green module why is a diode more than a module? Its inside a module...

Unlike red diodes, raw green diodes are not readily available. The common green lasers you see are DPSS - meaning that it uses an Infrared diode that is frequency doubled through crystals to get 532nm green.

It is not a direct diode. The module includes the IR diodes, and the crystal optics to convert that to visible green.

Pure green diodes are 'experimental' right now and cost thousands of dollars. If the price were to come down, green lasers would be as simple as red lasers - simply consisting of a red diode and a collimating lens. Until then, green lasers are much more complex and an entire module is required to house the converting optics.

I hope this helps to explain things for you.....

How many times does this have to be posted? Is the search feature disabled?
Even I use search now and then -- it really works --- Really.

Jayrob makes dozens of different kits for dozens of different hosts, he also makes them compatible for red/violet diode builds aswell as green module builds.

To answer your question we would have to know what kit you are referring to, but most likely it will be a yes

All you will need is a module (very easy to solder a small wire to bypass the switch - see picture below), a battery, and a 1.5mm Allen wrench for the set screws.

The green modules are here for the specs on them:

100mW: 90~100mW Green laser module£*>5¡«500mW green laser module£*>Laser&lighting products£*>www.0-like.com

200mW: 200mW green laser diode module£*>5¡«500mW green laser module£*>Laser&lighting products£*>www.0-like.com

Everything you need is right there in the thread. :)

Yes you will need to buy a module to make that kit into a laser.
Modules linked in that thread are the ones on O-like which will not be online untill next month or so.

Here is a basic difference: Diode needs to be installed in a housing, needs a driver to be made, and collimation optics to make the 'beam'.

Module is all that already assembled. But you cannot make your own green module, the crystals inside it are alligned with microscopic precision for optimal power output, which is next-to-imapossible to do at home.

Be patient a bit, and wait for o-like.com to go back online, and then you will be able to select the green module you want.
If I remember correctly, 50mW green module was about 32$,
80~100mW was somewherea around 75$,
130~150 mW was 100$ flat,
and 200 mW green module was 135 $.

So yeah, price does not follow power lineary... 500 mW module was around 700$ I think :D

But you cannot install anything bigger than 200 mW in that kit.

Hope this helps a bit

O-like will be up much sooner than that.

I was talking to susie, the website is now functional for taking orders, she'll have the rest of the stock up in the next couple of days.

The green modules are already up.

Yup, you can order everything through email and MSN also, and site is alraedy half-functional.

So, you can pretty much order what you need right now!
