To good to be true?

there is this 100mw red laser on Laserlands.com for only 14$! Seems to cheap to be true... anyone had any experience with it or laserlands?

If something seems to good to be true, it usually is!
They're from China.

I've had that laser, it does indeed hit 100mW. You need VERY good batteries to get 100mW out. Average cells will produce 65-85mW output. The driver in this is very inexpensive and uses the cell voltage as a voltage reference, so the diode only gets full current when the cells provide exactly the right voltage.

You actually bought it from laserlands and it's the exact same laser?

Yes, I actually bought that exact laser from laserlands.net. (I gave it away a few months later, the output was crooked and I hate that.)

Did they have a decent shipping time or are they like some of the others we know and hate?
I just get a little paranoid about some of the laser sites from China

Iirc it took a little over 2 weeks between when they said they shipped it and when it arrived. They shipped it out within a couple days though, which is good. I've never had "waiting to ship" delays from laserlands, and when they were out of stock of something I ordered they upgraded me to the next model up for free.

Dosen't sound like a bad site, 1 thing I did notice is that they don't seem to over rate their lasers like some of the other sites.

I'm not sure exactly what some of that means,

But I am alright with 65- 85-mw. I even contacted laserlands and she told me that it ranged from 80- 110mw, so maybe it varies from laser, but i don't mind if it is off. A 65-85mw red laser is still a good deal for 14$, unless you know of somewhere else where i can get that for the same price or cheaper.
Since i did not quite understand the last part of your post, Is the build quality OK with the laser? If the only problem is its not up to spec thats alright with me as long as its still decent quality.

It is just a standard Newwish laserpen and 100mW red is very cheap nowadays.
I find it nothing wrong with the laser.
