I bet those both end up having plastic 660's in them, Or worse, the 12 pin integrated photocell cans, but feel free to find out for us. heh. And the 2nd wavelenth those have will be 780nm, which isn't of much use to many people.

I didn't order any. I've read a lot on here abt using DVD burner sled diodes, not ones from CD burners. Normally, the faster the burn sped the better.
The way electronics prices fall, all I could do was ask. If it's not a good find, so be it.

Well those are dvd burners . They'll have 660nm diodes in them capable of 200-300mw. The question is just what kind of package the diodes are in.

just get a sled from modwerx.com
it's cheaper than buying the drive.

I have 5 sleds now, one diode harvested & housed.
I was just asking if this was a good find/buy?
Places sometimes sell off surplus and for a new diode it might be a good price.
I didn't know, so I asked. I've seen sleds from $25-$50. $18.99 w/free shipping could have been a good find.

I do have a few other items from modwerx in my cart. I'm trying to buy from LPF members for my supplies.
