I just bought an American DJ, Dyno-Fog II fog machine from Guitar Center and it seems to work OK. Is this a good machine? Reliable? From those who are experts with fog machines, what are the good brands? What are the bad brands to stay away from. I found good reviews on Guitar Centers website. I found bad reviews at Musicians Friend. It has a 1000W heater and pushes the fog a good distance so far. Thanks for any help.

If your just using it for beamshots, It'll probably be fine. You'll never use it enough for any reliability issues to crop up most likely. If you really want the best of the best, I recommend a HES F100, but heh, that's probably going to be a touch overkill. I used to own two of them back when I did DJ and stage lighting stuff. Never had a single issue out of either but they're $800 each or so as well. :p
