what do you want to use it for? you can get one cheaper at lazerer for $30.99 but isn't focusable/waterproof

nothing very wrong with o-like

As he said O-Like isn't too bad of a company, although lazerer seems to get more support here lately.

I should mention I will be using this for astronomy reasons. Also, I figured it can be useful when I go on an evening hike. You never know what can happen when your out in the wilderness... I'm guessing a bright laser will get some attention of other people. I just moved from San Diego to the state of Arizona. It's nice but when your out on these trail hikes, things are very primitive and wild. So this laser could be my "distress beacon".

Should I go bigger than 50mw?

Sorry for the noob questions, but I'm new to this forum and new to lasers.

I've only had those store bought 5mw lasers you can buy in the pet section. lol

I am a grown adult though so I'm aware of the safety precautions.

i have been looking about the same laser, looks good to me and i think ima get it
if i was you i would get the glasses, i have had many close calls with my eyes, and dont want any more.
at any time in the night a 50 mw is plenty to grab attention, i had a 10 mw greenie that lasted me all of 3 hours. i think this is a great bet bc it is waterproof.

If you want distress beacon capability I would go with something around 100mW to 150mW. I've never used O-like but Lazerer is heavily confirmed as safe, secure, and trustworthy.

The 50mw Power Rock from O-Like is great for the price but would suggest the 100mw version from O-Like or Laserer if you can find the few extra dollars.
