It took me 20+ years to learn how to talk/deal with women/girls.
Treat them as people.
Some are jerks. Try to avoid or if you are up to it, treat them super sweetly. That usually makes `em crazy.
Some are fine. Tell them jokes. Talk to them and listen to what they have to say. Apologize if you do something wrong. Fight (verbally) with them if you didn't.
And a few select ones are "fun". I will leave the interpretation of that up to you but I don't think of it as just one thing either. Flirt, play, confide, and maybe even more with these.
My spouse was a close and good friend before she was anything else to me. After 20+ years she still is. She's not perfect but neither am I so it works out.

But I have tried to live by an old (Native) Indian adage that says to "Treat all that you meet as a friend until they prove themselves otherwise."
Any "girls", as you put it here, would be treated as an individual with there own personality as they choose to present it by me. Most of the more experienced members here would probably do the same.
It's only the younger and ,at the risk of offending some of you, the ruder group of people that these "girls" are hiding from. - Now you may fall into that classification due to no ill will of your own but by simply being young and inexperienced. So don't feel that it is a personal slight against you. Just remember another one of those old truisms ; You have 2 eyes and 2 ears because it is twice as important to watch and listen.
