There may be a chance that many would vote only to get a free gift- and they may or may not know who they are voting for, or much about the person in general.

That may or may not skew results. But whoever said noobs were predictable. :p

I also hate myself because I didn't realise it was a multiple choice poll. I would have voted for more than one person otherwise.

I didn't realize more than one vote was allowed either till to late so I sent John my other 2 by PM.
I commented on the "noob thing" in that thread. It is hard for a 2 month noob like myself to make choices. I read abt 4 hrs a day on here and most seem well qualified. I don't know who has what equipment, actual build experience and details like that and directed my comment to that.

At the top of the forum page in the header there is a black blank area on the left. I'd like to see a clickable text link, not an ad, something like " Free Gift if you vote". Then have it take you to the poll page. I think many have never seen the thread and this would make it visible on every thread page.

Acctually, nearly no noob ask me for a gift, I don't know why, if they ask, I will send with no doubt. And a few ones who vote and don't want the gift. Maybe they just want to vote for their hero, don't care about the gift

Alot of people dont read the entire post either. Maybe thats why

You did specify choosing 3 and yet there are a few members who voted more if not all

Maybe I will give each of my works two, then, more than 200 will be send.

You can always toss a gift in an order that comes from someone stating they are an LPF member and includes their user name. As a little extra thank you.

People are always hesitant to give out their name and address. Its not your fault. Blame the tens of thousand of other companies who steal your name and spam you.

If you have several mail accounts in google, yahoo.. then giving away the mail address shouldn't cause any problems. Your postal address is something different, but i don't think anyone would spam with international letters, and if they do it just lowers my bill for the heating. :)
