Can't wait to get my glasses :D
Good that they're effective against 405. I'm not using a huge amount of power. One of those Dealextreme PHR dildas which are 50-100mW. If these goggles are half decent the power through them should be <1mW

Buying a good laser but crappy glasses is the wrong way around. Your eyes can't be repaired after all.

Just to reiterate - I've only got the old, bad pairs left. These are generally okay to take the edge off of 445nm lasers, so they're reasonably good for onlookers.

For a primary pair, please go to something like Focalprice - they're not the best (far from it), but they're going to be better than the awful pairs. If you really want to be safe, go to OEM Laser Systems' website and get a pair from them.

I'll try to source more goggles so that we can keep this going. :)

Crappy glasses give a false sense of security. Also, "crappy glasses are better then none" is bad safety advice. It's like saying "when you fall off a roof, it's better to wear a helmet than nothing". It's best to make sure you don't fall off, that would be safety.
If you buy a laser but can't afford proper safety glasses, you obviously couldn't afford the laser. There's safety the right way and the wrong way, and crappy glasses isn't the right way.

I'm don't even like the uncertified fake specification cheap china laser glasses, but some of those models probably work. Still not proper safety, but at least not a guaranteed failure.
