I used to get in trouble for just telling someone that my wife was at the tanning salon. Women are a bit more secretive. They have more to tempt weirdos with.

My soon to be ex wife has a masculine online name she uses in groups and such so strangers think that she is a man.

Peace,
dave

Computers are generally 26 times more difficult to use than TVs. Extrapolation suggests, therefore, that you've got 25 years before she knows.

LOL @ John... soon you'll have to have one of those thumbprint scanners or retinal scanners to protect your "forum privacy"... and your pr0n sites! ;) :D

I am a (not so) swinging single guy (somehow this brings up the image of Steve Martin & Dan Aykroyd in SNL) so i guess that all my music related/science related forums are kept quite private, although when it comes to my hobbies/passions, I keep very few secrets from my friends/family. My potential future ex wife ;) has no beef with my prog music festivals and my laser tinkering, and I have no beef with her new age / magnetism / energy crystals / aoummm crap, so I guess we're good! :D

Whenever I have free time at the office, I split my web time between the ProgressiveEars and the LPF forums. My boss doesn't mind because he spends even more time on the Porsche and Ducati websites, plus he went crazy when I introduced him to the DX website, he loves that geeky hobbyist/electronics stuff!

It's always a hoot when you "google" yourself... you might find some strange links sometimes. What's the weirdest web link where you found your name?

LOL, try having a job centered on lasers. All my work, all my coworkers, all my friends...lasers. My wife has been pretty accepting of lasers, in general. Especially considering how much of my life, and how much of the conversation when we're out with friends, revolves totally around lasers.

Last night was hilarious though, she turns to me and says "hey, I'm having trouble falling asleep, tell me something about lasers".

Same thing happens here, if it's not lasers then it's mathematical analysis or algebra or something that has to do with engineering on any level.

"You wanna hear about some lasers, dear?"

All I get is "if i makes you happy" from my GF. I then tell her if she lost 25lbs I'd be even more happy. Then I get the look...:spank:

In the past say... 3 years, a lot has happened in my life. Army, school, other stuff. I go back and look at my old posts/hangouts/threads and I go "wow, just wow". I hate it when other people do it to me, they're like "oh, you said this in 2002", when... the me now and the me then are completely different people :S
