I couldn't have ever put this together and made it work if it wasn't for all the great info in this forum. Special thanks to DTR & Survival Laser for getting me parts darn near as fast as I could let the smoke out of them  Thanks to Flaminpyro for listening to me ramble while I worked my way through a driver issue I was having

Thanks Tmack ! I'll ALWAYS remember this build ! I learned a lot, still have a lot to learn. I used the search function for weeks before this build and thought I had a pretty good understanding of what I was doing  I think the most important lesson I learned was to test it after every step and to wrap the blitzbuck v4 driver with a piece of heatshrink . :yh:

Haha that reminds me, I did a 120mw 532 module build in a b68 host. I tested everything and it was working fine. Right before I slid it in the host, decided to shrink wrap the driver too. Put it in the host, and found that either I heated it too much, or the pressure of the shrink wrap may have dislodged something and it somehow killed the ir diode. Still don't know exactly what happened, but I'm now scared from shrink wrapping drivers lol. It may have cranked the pot way up when the material shrunk or something.

Congratulation! And thanks for putting the info on the help you got in the tread.
I'll be going trough the forum and read, read some too. And then I'll read, read some more
and then maybe I'll produce something :)

First I'm planning to get a custom laser done though,
then I'll build one and learn how to do maintenance on them :yh:

Thanks ! Just thought I'd post it so if someone was thinking of doing the same build, they would know what to expect with that parts combination.

Thanks ! It's a great forum with lots of info. I use the search function a lot. If I run into a problem, chances are somebody else has had the same problem before. I'm even getting pretty good with the search function to find just what I want. Members seem to be real helpful if your searching and working through your own problems. Good luck with your first build ! If I can do it, so can you :)

Very nice laser, congrats! Can't wait to build my own.

I notice you're using the extended focusing knob from Survival Lasers. I've thought about using it as well. What are you experiences with it, have there been any issues with it getting caught on anything? I'm worried that an accidental drop in which the laser lands on the focusing adjuster could cause damage to the lens barrel and/or diode module. How has it been working for you?

I like using the wider adapter rather than the longer, but it does look nice here.
