Fastech is a reputable company. They ran into a snag with Lithium Ion

Batteries due to the Malaysia Flight that went missing. The world thinks that

Lithium Ion Batteries were the cause and have made it hard to ship these

batteries world wide. Fasttech thought they had a way to ship them though

Malaysia post and had it set up to ship them by air through them. Malaysia

post changed their policy half way though that first shipment had nothing to

do with Fasttech. A lot of those batteries that got bought in late June early

July got sent by surface versus air fright like Fasttech wanted. as a result of

Malaysia post hurting Customer Reputation for Fasttech decided

to give customers that had purchased batteries during this time a twenty

percent credit to make up for Malaysia Post changing the policy and shipping those parcels by surface instead of shipping them back to Fasttech so they

could find a alternate way of getting the purchases to the clients. This is

not a SCAM!
Fasttech is deeply upset with the way that Malaysia Post

handled the situation and is trying to fix what is wrong. I have been in contact

with a member of Fasttechs customer service for the past month they are

trying to find a way to either get the parcels to the clients or will refund the

purchase price to the consumer. So all of the work that they are doing and

the constant communication with me and other members who purchased

batteries seems like they are trying to find a solution to the current problem!

so please start a ticket and let FastTech work on the issues instead of calling

the company a scam I have ordered many items from them and had not a

issue. This issue is out side of the company's control due to the shipper

change their policy with out telling Fasttech

Sorry for the wait.

We apologize for the shipping issue with Malaysia post. They mentioned that they will ship external battery package via surface mail and ship the remaining packages via airmail. We are still waiting for their definite answer regarding this.

If it turns out that your order is shipped via surface mail after Malaysia Post contacts us then, we will contact you for reimburse the difference in shipping charge and delivery time since you have paid airmail shipping service. Surface mail can take 1-2 months for delivery as Malaysia post reported.

We are not happy about this shipping situation either and would rather they return those external battery packages to us so we can refund you right away. But they choose to ship it anyway whether by airmail or surface mail we don't know yet without confirming with us beforehand.

We sincerely hope that you will receive the order in short time.

While transit time fluctuates, we also have no control over this matter. So, as a way to apologize to our customers, affected customers will receive a credit that is equivalent to 20% of their order amount, with a maximum limit of $50.00 credit per order.

If there is any feedback from the post office, we will keep you informed.

Thank you for your understanding in this case.

Sorry to hear about this.

FastTech has its own policy which will offer refund or replace once the post office confirms that the package is lost or returned. However, the investigation time of post office usually takes up to 2 months. So we also can have no choice but to wait for their reply within 2 months. We hope you can understand.

Thank you for you patience. Please let us know if there is anything else we can help with.

so they are trying

Vortish, I am so glad you got some information out of them. I ordered two 22650 king kong button tops from them on the 7th of july. I have been in constant communication with them ever since .Only today have they said anything about something going on with their shipping agents malasia post. They are indeed shady. They have known about this air getting changed to ground for a long time now and not once did they ever mention it in their correspondence to me until today! I started a support ticket with them 26 days ago and finally today they let me know about this shipping fiasco! If they had been upfront with me about it, I would not have cared about it. They had lots of time to inform me but never did. The worst customer service I have ever dealt with period. When I finally get a refund or my money back, I will never do business with them again and most definitely would never recommend them to another forum member. I realize shipping is not their fault BUT they knew what was going on and let me fester like an infected wound for almost a month without telling the truth. That is terrible business no matter what anybody's past experiences with them might have been. 20% of $17.00 does nothing to improve my opinion of them.

They are not shady! they have over a thousand orders for batteries during this time frame! and they can not get to every one at the same time! You also have to ask the right questions. Remember they are in China and I bet most of them use a translator software to read English tickets. They had no Idea that Malaysia post shipped most of the battery packages by sea. Malaysia Post never informed them of this until it was to late. I have gotten stuff from them after this fubar started! its the standard 14-21 day wait! I talk to their reps once a week to find out were we are in all of this that is how i am staying on top of this.

Ok well they told you it was a 14-16 day wait. For me they told me it was a two month wait from the time I ordered it! Both of us are getting very different information.

I assume you are talking about the flight they haven't found. I never once seen or heard anything about anybody thinking it was batteries that caused it to disappear.

I have that why its been hard to ship any lithium ions lately. Its been all around the news and web. They thought it was a exploding Lith ion that caused it to go down but its just a guess they have no idea what caused it to go missing

It's been figured out what caused the Malaysian plane crash while I was in France.

I don't know the entire story but basically the plane was diverted to a US base located in the pacific ocean(I think it was due to hijacking). The US gov't saw the plane approaching and shot it down instead of letting it land since "special tests" were being run there & they weren't going to take the risk of having 200+ people figure it out.

Edit: I was told this by someone. Now if this is true or not can be debated, but it sure makes a lot of sense.

ah for real??? you challenged this story you we're told right?
The biggest mystery for me is how did NO ONE made a phone call or send a text message during the time it went off course. Everything must have been destroyed prior to it going missing. Very intriguing story.

UPDATE:
paypal had to refund my money because FastTech refused to. I would not recommend them to anyone

Shot down by the US... Why would it be diverted there anyway? That story sounds like 100% bull manure.

^ Did you file a claim within 45 days? It's been over 2 months since I placed an order now. They have really ticked me off now. It should not take two months to find out what happened. They either were not shipped to begin with, returned without issuing a refund, or are being help by the shipper somewhere outside the US.

I got a email from Malaysia Post saying my batteries when by surface and were shipped on the 13th of july and it would be 8 to 16 weeks before i get them. This is Malaysia posts fault not Fasttechs fault because the never told fast tech untill they shipped

Yes I had to. FastTech told me to track down the missing package and get back to them before they would issue a refund. I posted that e-mail in my other post #18 in this thread. I don't care if they want to blame Malaysia post or the Easter bunny but it is not my fault and they handled the issue like complete imbeciles.

I have to agree. I would not mind the wait if I was sure I would receive the product. I have been in communication with them since the end of July and the story always changes. I would have no issues with them had they been upfront about it. I did not have mine originally sent by air but rather ground post and their is nothing on their website saying this will take longer. I now see that they use Hong Kong post instead of Malayasia post.
