Hello,

Below are two figures that show the output from a Laser Driver Board , running pulses at 80Mhz.

1. The power to the board Vdd and gnd is connected via a DC POWER SUPPLY.

View image: DC Power Supply

2. The second figure is when the Vdd and gnd is connected via a 5V battery.

I dont understand the behavior on the shape of the pulse. Why is this happening when it is powered via the Line-> DC power supply ... and ... NOT via battery ...

what type of power supply are you using? it might be giving out sine wave pulses ( i would think)

I checked with both (below mentioned ) power supplies:

1. Agilent E3612A

2. TENMA 72-2005 Laboratory DC power supply

Why would a member of this forum send another member a personal message to tell him what to do? Is that not a moderator's job?
