anyone know of an epoxy or another kind of material that will absorb heat? since i don't have access to the machinery to make one? epoxy seams to absorb heat, but i'm not sure how well it would do...

Epoxy is only for a thin bond between the heatsink and whatever may be generating heat, not for actually heatsinking .

ok, but is there anything that can be used as an alternative to aluminum? i'm trying to look for something can can be molded and then sets, like some sort of glue.

i'm assuming that gasket maker silicon would just insulate it and make it hotter.....

Arctic5 adhesive works for me.. It has metallic stuff in it for heat conduction.

Just find a series of washers u can fit onto a aixiz module and that will be your best bet since you don't have access to machinery.

agreed, but its expensive[/quote]

o, I forgot to mention arctic silver comes in small amounts (two tiny tubes) and I seriously doubt its possible to easily mold like clay.

As far as price goes, I just ordered it two days ago, so it might come in the mail today. It was $9. I'll let you know if it's mold able after i test it.

I wonder if JB Weld would work.
It is relatively cheap and seems to have some kind of metalic powder in it.
