Eneloops

Are these the best batteries for blu-ray? I think so, but I'm not sure.

Assuming they are, where can I buy them for a good price? I already have a charger, and my host takes 3xAAA, so I think I need a four-pack. I can't find them anywhere in stores around here, so I'm going to have to order online. Probably cheaper anyway.

Currently I have standard alkalines in there. I get the feeling they aren't working all too well. I don't want to use lithiums because they are too expensive to replace, so I think I'll go with the tried and trusted Eneloops.

I did some more research, and Circuit City seems to carry these pretty cheap (at least that's what CandlePowerForums says.) I'll have to check that out when I get a chance.

just a heads up, Circuit City has closed down 150 stores as of yesterday because of financial issues, so now they're only operating at 550 store nation wide. just thought you may want to know in case anyone needs a new supplier of anything

Thanks, I was actually there a couple of days ago...and whaddya know. They don't carry eneloops after all.

I use AA and AAA eneloops on everything (garage door opener, flashlights, lasers, remotes, wireless keyboard and mouse, etc). These pay for themselves (at least for me after 7 months). I bought 45 AA and 30 AAA. I bought a lacrosse charger that came with a nice case and adaptors to use AA batteries as C cells. A nice touch. Got it all off Amazon. Keep in mind that the Eneloops keep a 95% charge for upt to 1 year. Charge and forget.

I actually have a small organizer in my den where I have a small drawer labeeled for "charged AA" and AAA and then a drawer labelled Discharged AA and AAA where the family places the discharged batteries to get charged. Nice lil system.

305mAh...? Eneloop AAA's are over twice that (800mAh). The Flexdrive couldn't take that kind of voltage; I'd have to use two spacers. What's the advantage of using these over Eneloops?
