This Dvd Burner worth buying?

CDRLabs.com - Lite-On SHM-165H6S Super AllWrite 16x DVD±RW/RAM | Reviews burner ( i believe this is the one) for $20, but i'm not sure if it will be worth it. Im not even sure the 'x' of it. Oh actually it says 16x, but then it it says, "drive is capable of 16x DVD±R, 8x DVD+RW, 6x DVD-RW, 8x DVD+R DL, 4x DVD-R DL, 5x DVD-RAM writing speeds and a maximum DVD read speed of 16x."

So what 'x' is it really? And how many milliamps can i run the diode at, to have a "safe" diode life. Is it worth $20.00?

You can buy 2 LPC sleds for $20. Why waste your money on a drive?

Yeah wasn't sure it this drive is more powerful than LPC's. It says down to 4x and up to 16x. But i am not sure what the diode can be run at. I'll tell her no then anyway.

LPCs are out of a 20X I believe.
