How come this is at this price on ebay and its this price on your site...I dont get it whats the difference or is it cos 1 has the W/X-Drive ?
The thing is i'm trying to build my FIRST laser and after hours and hours of reading i'm starting to get there,
I have owned lasers since i was a kid many years ago i was fascinated with them and today i own a
LINK HERE 50mW but on the sticker it says 5000mW LOL
Never had the chance to test the output yet.
Also the 2 in my sig which i no longer have but were great both maxed out as per sig

EBAY MODULE:
2W 445nm M140 Blue Laser Diode in Copper Module W/Leads & 405-G-2 Lens

Price:
US $99.00

WEB SITE MODULE:

2W 445nm Copper Blue Laser Module W/X-Drive & 405-G-2 Glass Lens

Price:
US $125

=====================================================================================================
Parts i seen in a youtube video to make a 1W handheld laser:

JayRob Torch / Flashlight
Flexdrive set to 1000 mA
Aixiz Module
Aixiz 405/445nm AR coated lens
1Watt 445nm Blue Laser Diode

I'm not particularly bothered about the host as i said i have a JD-303 that works pretty well & burns the normal "match/Pop ballon & electrical tape"
I'm thinking i could buy the parts & use this as the host.

Can someone if they dont mind give me a little desription or brief me on what i need or what to get to make this happen please

Thank You

Yes one has a driver and the other one you need to supply your own driver.

Cheers mate apreciate your reply,
Do you think its possible to use my "current" JDLaser 303 532nm from HERE use as a HOST for your parts and make a 2W blue 445nm that you have priced @ $125
Or would you sugest another HOST if so which

EDIT:

Just like to say i really need to keep the cost down as much as possible hence the reason i wanted to use a standard flashlight HOST
Or my current JD-303 which is pretty damn bright but have no way to test max output,
Its well overspec as it has 5000mW on the Warning sticker :)
If you need a BREAKDOWN of the host i can DISASSEMBLE it as much as i possibly can for you and upload them.

RE-EDIT:

If i was to buy the 2W 445nm Copper Blue Laser Module W/X-Drive & 405-G-2 Glass Lens for $125
what else do i need to buy to make a complete Laser *Sorry for the noob question but i'm attempting my 1st build

Thanks For Reply's

Sorry for the late missed your reply. You will still need a host/heatsink kit, batteries, charger and safety glasses.

JD 303 same style family as SD303,302,301 laser output power between 60 mW and 135 mW on a really good one i have quite a few .but average in the middle around 80mw to 90mW .5000mW lol i have 125 mW real LPM laser that has a 8000mW sticker on it if only ...i wouldn't consider using a flashlight driver for a laser, especially a 2 watt m140 equipped one ,or the JD 303 driver wouldn't have the capacity by a long way.

They are a PITA to build in as well.

The modules are hydraulically press fitted into place and you need to force it out, which usually breaks the host. You also need to implement a switch arrangement and + contact for the battery. I built one using a DTR 635nm and it really was a ballache , you also have to find a way to mount the lens, then bore out the threads on the Aixiz module, because you focus with the "head" not the Aixiz.
