sorry about your laser :-[
what type is it?
does the laser work normally, you only have to push hard?

Not certain if they will cover the repair for dropping under warranty, but you can give it a shot...With Nova, I would actually suggest honesty, but do not shoot me if they will not fix it for free !

I dropped my X105 today on sold concrete from a good few feet. I was almost sure it was busted but lucky for me nothing happened. I hope it didn't do anything to it that I don't know of.

I agree...coming to someone with "your hat in your hand" asking for Help..is much better a than trying to make someone feel responsible for a something you did...even if unintentional..hey it was an ACCIDENT wasn't it?????!!!!!

If you are anything like me (and GOD help you if you are... ;D)  You treat your nova like a JEWEL!!!! (and it is!!) and you don't go doing batton twirls with it!

Everyone has a case of "Butterfingers" now and again......it happens!!!!!!

Be honest..plead your case.....and understand that IF they decide to charge you...well..they WILL MAKE IT RIGHT...but it was you that dropped it in the first place so if there is a cost...they are not liable for that.

Honesty is ALWAYS the best policy...even when it is easier to lie.

WOW....I sound like my father........

Love you dad!!!!!

Why is everyone (I know...exagerate much, Greg ?) dropping their lasers ? I treat these guys like they are made of fragile glass - I have never dropped one, except on purpose when I was trying to kill a DX laser for the sake of science...and that was more like a Football Spike than a drop....So - why the butterfingers ? Don't get pissed - I mean, clumsy is clumsy{ and I am the KING of clumsy !} - no big deal, but it seems to be happening frequently lately....

Um...you want to try that "Drop Test" on an Extreme Laers DX-20 I have.......... ;D

But to be honest...since I pot modded it and bypassed the APC circuit.....she seems to be a much better Newwish laser that what I received!!!!

I hate to say this..but that rubberized coating works for me!

Nice design on the outside...poor engineering on the inside.

I treat my lasers as if they were sodium and I'm in a boat ;D...Ok, I couldn't help myself...

But I do have to agree with you Greg, I am extremely careful with my lasers, I don't see how it can be so common now days.

Its not a nova, its a DX 30... Well after I dropped it, it was as before. But then I had to press really hard to get something out of it, like when the batteries are weak. So I changed batteries and it was good, for like one minute and then the same thing happend!

It sounds like the button may be jammed. Those mechanical buttons will bust VERY easily if you mash them too hard...for this case, I would suggest pulling the laser apart - and re-aligning the button with the actual switch itself. The button may have slipped down - and jammed up on the switch somehow :(

I don't know if its the button, and I cant get the top of the laser. Is it possible that something happend so that it kinda eating the batteries. They get really bad after a minute. :'( :'( :'(

Nothing is beyond a bad circuit... but depleting batteries in a minutes is a bit extreme. Perhaps the batteries are shorted out regardless or button status. If so, then when you press it, there is a no resistance path between positive and negative and the batteries are draining out when you're not using the laser. Id' try to take it apart and check for wires that flew off the board and are now touching the case. :)

I finally fixed it! Let me tell you all.

When I pushed the button the ... I dont know the english word of tat thing that connects with the batteries. Well, when I pushed the button that thing also got pushed down in the laser housing and made the batteries not touching it.. So I put a piece of rubber under that thing that prevent it from sliding down, NOW ITS WORKING BETTER THAN EVER! the beam is really visible in a well lit room from the windows. And I got fresh recharable 1000 Mah batteries :p
