Hey everyone im from Australia and have been looking at buying a hand held pointer but since they are banned here it is very difficult to get through customs without them getting confiscated >.<

I have been in touch with Frank from dragonlasers and he says that they have never had an order confiscated through customs in Australia even though they do not send in 2 parcels. Please let me know if i should go ahead with this as I am looking at getting 2 green pointers very soon, Thanks

Well, they're a Chinese shipper of non-compliant lasers. I'd say you have a pretty good shot.

If you're not willing to take the risk, don't smuggle lasers.

DL will refund your laser if it gets confiscated. Ask him about that.

Ok, im thinking aout giving it a go but IF i do get caught ill get a letter of warning that if it happens again there will be a fine...so i guess i have one shot at it!

What about O-like and rayfoss? apparently they will send in 2 parcels...has anyone had experience importing lasers from either companies into Australia?

Not sure. Maybe you should make another thread about it. :tired:

I don't live in Australia, however I do have experience with both companies, O-like and DL. I can tell you that both disguise the parcel by writing on the customs' declaration note that what's inside the parcell is a flashlight or a fountain pen. Also they don't write the real value of the product, but some 20$, thus making the customs to believe that what's inside the package is a flashlight or a fountain pen while this is in fact a laser.

And thus your laser passes through customs smoothly and you don't even have to pay taxes.
