If you want to buy something for xmas, i think you are too late to order now. DX has had xmas stuff for a few weeks now, if you would have ordered then it would have arrived in time.

Xmas is not that big a deal in hong kong or (the rest of) china, but you can expect (extra) delays on international shipping routes since lots of holiday packages and postcards are sent during this period all over the world.

In hong kong only december 25th is a public holiday, but winter solstice (21st or 22nd) is also celebrated. Neither will affect DX xmas shopping though, if you package hasnt been shipped by dec 21st, there is no chance you will receive it in time.

I'd say if it has not been shipped by Dec.15, you won't get it in time. It generally takes 16, or so, days from shipping, for me to receive my items from DX

I ordered something on the 2nd and it still hasn't arrived yet. I'd say you'd be lucky to get anything from them in time for xmas at this point ...

i am in China, I know the situations. You know, DX and some other Shenzhen(Electronics Manufacturing and Trading Center of China) based seller or companies use Hong Kong Air Mail(Hong Kong and Shenzhen are just seperated by a narrow river). From October, Hong Kong Post and airport are jammed by millions and billions of air mails fluxing in. Then the air mail of hong kong post will stay in Hong Kong for a long time, more than a week or longer. A lot of ebayer from China suffer a lot from this sitution with a increasingly lower DSR score. That is why the delivery time is long and the sellers cannot do a thing.
I tried Hong Kong air mail for a week, and later gave up and use China Post Air Mail exported from Beijing. this airmail is more stable and faster. Normally 10 days of delivery to US.
So JamTDK, you may wait or ask for a refund. :)
