Do you reccomend a lens pen and will it work with most lasers?

I have an opto pen, and will soon have a HL 532nm from laserbtb. I know about the foam tip method(they are expensive!), but i like the idea of the lenspen better. However i noticed that even a q tip is too large to fit into the hole of my opto pen and also, the "cap" seems either impossible or ridiculously hard to get off. Would a lenspen still work for it and if so where should i get it?
