This is probably going to be a silly thread, but here goes: does anyone here have pet names for their lasers? If so, what did you name them?

I have several lasers (most of which are <1 mW pointers), but only one of them has a pet name: my Spyder I Pro is also known as "Starbreaker Prime." I got the name "Starbreaker" from Stephen Baxter's novels, even though I've never read a single one of them; I just picked that name because it sounds really cool. :p

Hmm, I don't really use any pet names, more like descriptive names.

I've always had a bit of a phobia when it came to naming things though, even pets, had a hamster when I was a kid, never really picked a name. Had another one that was fluffy... so that name stuck lol.

Yeah. I've only named one of my lasers. I call my 445nm 10440 laser small and shiny.

It's my favorite laser, so I take very good care of it, and it's always polished to a mirror finish :)

I usually call my lasers by the brand/host. "Hand me the O-like"

Infinitus knows this one cause he's seen my recent post about finishing my first laser builds...

I call these beauties, the Quasimoto Siamese! Behold the digusting glory!
445nm. The long one is estimated at 1300mW (I'm taking it to a nearby university to use their equipment to get ACTUAL power and wavelength readings. The short one is supposedly a 1W using a common 445/405 driver I bought.

These ones are both red. The small red one I bought for $1 from deal-a-day. Output of 5mw. is also a 9 LED flashlight. I call this "The little one"
The grey host is actually my very first build. 20X DVD burner in a flashlight I got from a 10 for $10 pack from Home Depot. :) I don't have a name for it yet...

Check out rhd. That man has plenty of names for his lasers. And thy're all fitting!
My Aurora C6 should probably be named the Phoenix because of how many times I've had diodes die and reused the host (about 6, but who's counting?). Here's the beauty now. <3

Well not a pet name exactly

I'm a little more realistic so I calls em the way I sees em

Let me introduce The Copper Mine, it's nearly 3 pounds of copper
