Hi Guys,
Bought a 200mw Green,advertised as new etc.I never had a powerful pointer like this but.....This thing looks used?What is this hotmelt glue doing around the laser surely it will melt?Does the diode look like this?I just took the focussing lens off,is the diode just open? Anyone recognize the original manufacturer
?Anyway this laser does not produce any laser light,battery fully charged etc-just wanted your expert opinion first-copy above email link for photos,my url link does not work.

Hmmm... it does looks like Hot Glue...

does the hot Glue melt when the laser has been running for a while..
If not... I wouldn't worry about it....

For a cheap Chinese 200mW laser that looks normal to me. They all look like that inside the module. If it's broken, RMA it.. If the seller will replace it or refund your cash, that's all that matters.

hmm be careful its not pumping out IR. Go get a mobile phone cam and use the camera while the laser is 'on' to see if there is any IR detected by the camera (be careful). RMA it though regardless- just will be interesting to see if dead or spewing out IR...
