Those are UV LEDs, which produce a range of wavelengths. A laser diode needs to be monochromatic and produce only one wavelength of light. (i.e. coherent light) You need coherent light to make a laser.

Ok, sorry. Kinda new at this... Where is the best place to get laser diodes then? Would have been fun to try to make my own laser ;D

Indeed. Michael Jackson is very good at teaching photonics.

OMFGROFLMAOBBQPIZZA!!! :D :D :D :D :D

Pestario dude, you need to get a phr-803t sled for a diode that would have a wavelength close to those LEDs and also be highpowered.A little more expensive than 3 bucks for a 20 pack though ::)

I can imagine that it will cost more. Hehe. Thanks for the tip, I'll try to make one when i have the money. Want to get everything at the same time, hate to know that I have some components, but have to wait until I get the rest before take off... This really sounds interesting!
