Hey Guys, it's time again! I had a great time meeting a few of you last spring, I hope this is even bigger. We rented the pavilian to keep us out of the weather, and there are restrooms and outlets avaliable.

DFW Texas Spring Flashapalooza 2012!!
Sat. April, 21 2012
5:00 -10:00 PM (or so)
Bring all of your lights, modified, customs, stock, parts, surplus, trades, LED, Incandescent, HID, drivers, lenses, antiques, headlamps, canister lights, diving lights, lasers, items for sale, items for trade, one offs, ect... (and don't forget your camera!)
Located at:
Veterans Park
2482 Spanish Trail
Arlington, TX 76016

GPS users, when I punch in the address, my GPS gives me the wrong location. I had to navigate to this coordinates to get the correct location:
N 32.70506, W 97.16230
if you look at google maps, it's listed as
32.705059, -97.162308

Under the Big Pavilion
We have reservations under the pavilian at Veterans Park. It has all of the eminities, seating for 120, 18 picnic tables, a grill, lighting, and electrical outlets.

A huge thanks to those that made this happen, now it's time to get the word out! Hopefully this is the biggest event yet. Everyone welcome, friends, family, neighbors.

We'll start pot-luck style, bring something to eat if you can, I'll get a list going.

I'm Really looking forward to seeing some of our laser guys at the meet. I want to see how possible it is to build a 100mW green laser that is X Y adjustable so it can be used on an AR-15 pistol or a Draco.

I hope so too! I need some of your expert knowledge, I should have a ND3 and ND5 that I'd like to know a little about. I build LED based spotting lights for hog hunting, and would like to use some of the ND5 technology.

Matt;

Sounds like a well planned meet.

Looking forward to it.

Now I have to finish all the laser & light projects I have in the works.

P.S. I intend to chip in $30 for the pavilion.

Matt;

Finished my 638nm laser yesterday.

Running it @ 700ma through a new short focal length lens coated for Red wavelengths.

Now I have to finish the dual-18650 Cree XML light with the separate mode control.

And charge all the new 18650's for the meet.

See ya there.

Anyone turn out? Sadly i couldnt get off work:mad:

It was the largest GTG we've had! Sadly there wasn't much representation from LPF.

We had some crazy powerfull lasers there, ones that can burn wood, but sorry I don't know much about them. There is a bunch of pictures up at CPF

It was a great meeting.

Mega-Power flashlights and many lasers shining into the distance.

Of course, the grilled Hamburgers were tasty also.

Talked to a enthusiast about lasers converted by phosphor into a flashlight.
