Hello everyone!

My first post is about trying to do another add-on to a tricked out Mossberg shotgun.
I want to add a different laser sight.
This time a greenie.

Has anyone ever tried buying any of those remote cables with pressure pad activation on the ends and shortening them?

Referring to cheap(er) lasers like these -->

AimShot Green Laser Sights and accessories (or)

Curly and Straight Cords with Momentary Pad for Aimshot Green Laser Sights.

To make this work without all the cable clutter, I need a straight cord that is exactly 2.75-3 inches from laser cap to where the pad begins.
I have about ¼ - 3/8 inch to play with.

Seems to me if a person had soldering skills and heat shrink tubing this could be done neatly and easily.

Sometimes though..... you get into low voltage electronic cabling like some of these have, and there is coax cable, misc types of shielding, etc that may make this an impossibility.
IE: this might not be the same thing as a nice neat inline splice.

I can likely find an electronics repair place locally to do the work if I discover there is a prayer this will work, if no one knows about a custom pressure switch mfgr. (or) if someone already knows a weapon laser vendor that already makes short length pressure pad activation switches.

Any comments are much appreciated and I would really prefer a place that already does this (or) sells custom small jobs like this.

Thanks !

Steve

The cable to the touch pad is only 2 conductors....
Anyone with a little soldering skill can do what you
want...

There should be the need for any shielding in the cable at all & coax wouldn't be used for this.
If you have any trouble finding someone locally to do it then surely you could get it done from someone on here by posting in buy/sell/trade.
