Ok guys, just starting this topic for the xbow laser I' getting sorted.
This is the Xbow, area for sight will, hopefully, be adjacent to the sight rail.
Now this is still at the design stage but I hope to build, install and shoot using it as an accurate guide.
My upper limit is 200 mw and it will be red.
I've ordered in the stuff from stonetech.
2x Diode housing.
2x Sony x 16 Diode (this is *about* 180 upper, 100 avg) which is fine.
1 x Driver - StoneTech
My biggest hiccup will be getting a suitable torch-like shell for housing the complete unit.
Not only has it got to take the above mentioned, but also enough batteries for powering the driver. I believe this will be at least 3 AA or AAA batteries.
But I am interested to know if the button batteries will work? :-?
The button batteries might be the solution as I really don't want to mess around trying to retro-fit extra batteries into a housing.
An alternative could be to house the batteries (assuming I can't fit all of them into a housing) in a waterproofed container strapped somewhere else on the bow, which leads to the problem of wiring now dangling about and needing attention. I really will be gunning for keeping it all as tight and flush as possible.
It will be interesting. I'll keep you posted as to how I get on.
