Hello all,

We're creating a measurement system which determines a position of a frame in a coordinate system. We need to provide this coordinate system to our customers. For this we thought about installing two laser pointers giving the X and Y-axis of our coordinate system. In this way our customer can turn on the lasers and by using the lasers projection at about 10-20meters the alignment with their coordinate system is quite easy.
As we have no experience with lasers I'm wondering which types are suitable for this purpose.

Maybe some requirements:
- highly accurate (at 10meters the point should still be a point and not a blob)
- power is no problem
- compact would be nice
- rugged would also be nice (it's an outside environment, but of course we can try to protect them ourselfs)

So any ideas are highly appreciated

Thanx

Zjeriet
