Thanks a bunch for taking the time to read it all. just for your record, Tonyt is a fellow aussie and is very helpful with knowing the rules and regs over there along with helping you out if you need suggestions on what lasers and how to get them in Australia. useful resource for you if you decide you want to use him

You should also add Optotronics and NOVAlasers to the list of reputable companies.

hi guys, im a first time poster. i live in australia and want to buy a 250mw red laser from o like --> this one Sharp High Power Red laser 250mW /Waterproof/focusable [OL-WR-250] - $56.99 : Zen Cart!, The Art of E-commerce to get it through customs would i need to tell susie to put it two different packages or what, i have really no idea. if so ive written this so customs will be less sus; Please disassemble laser and put the crown, back of the laser and battery charger in one package, and the laser housing, and battery in another pack. First package marked as charger + batteries and the second marked as Flashlight Housing.
btw the laser has no warning stickers on it or anything.
if someone cold please reply that would be great im thinking of ordering it tomorrow :)

First off thanks for asking prior to purchasing. IMHO I wouldn't buy from o-like since quality is hit or miss from my findings. You are better off ordering from one of the sites listed under the trusted companies section. Many companies guarantee delivery or money back/reship a new laser. This is a better option than having a new laser disassembled and then you having to piece it back together.

Or you can always try the B/S/T section here and see if a fellow Aussie is selling a laser. Ive seen a bunch for sale in Aus in the past few months.

I suggest laserbtb for a high quality but less expensive option

NP, let me know if you have further questions. I am more than willing to help you out. Also you may want to update your location information to make it easier to understand. many times members wont even help someone out if they dont know a location since answers differ based on your location.

No problem. i love my HL series laser and its been perfect for me. If you are interested in a diffraction grating adapter then email them to inquire about adding to your order (i dont think its listed on their website). they are like $5 USD but they are a cool accessory to have. I now see your concern about customs (actually looking back at your first post i should have remembered you were an aussie. also you may want to confirm laserbtb will guarantee the delivery to Aus. now other people will know if you have a question and I dont answer it or get to it in time

Let me know how you like your new laser when it arrives
