Hey, I have a cheapo 5mW greenie and it has developed alot of fuzz around the dot, I have been trying to clean it but I cannot get in it good enough to do so. Is there a good way to get into this kind of laser and it still go back together? I need to get in the silver part on the top of the laser to clean the "eye". I just need a good way to clean it.

There are many things that can go wrong when you extract and re-assemble these modules. Have you tried using something small enough to fit through the aperture and soft enough to carry some alcohol or even glass cleaner?

I have been trying some q-tips, I read some people say it is bad and some say it works but I dont have anything else I can think of. I used them and alchohol but it sometimes makes it better or not at all.

pulling one of pens apart is not the easiest thing to do.. it takes alot of effort, and coming from a person out of a few that have taken them apart..

i can say it's a bit of a hassle.. best thing i could think of is using compressed air, like one of those air dusters to clean it. hopefully it's nothing that is actually stuck on the lens itself.

Hmm, thanks. Well I can't get it much better than I have just gotten it, so I will leave it until I find a better way. I will try and see if I have a fine tip paintbrush tomorrow, and maybe look into a lens pen? I never did get any case for the laser. What the best thing to store my lasers in? It would be nice to have some thing like lens caps but I dont have anything like that to fit these.

Look into "rubber" caps like are used on the bottom of chair legs, etc. They come in many sizes and colors.

If you want a full case, look into cigar holders/carriers

Peace,
