First time I've seen this.
...I have heard different things about this. What exactly can you let me know from your personal experiences with "Origin Post" deal.

Basically your package is still making it's way through china, or could be out of china already.

It was accepted at post office on Sept.7, and after that was transferred to a sorting hub. Depending on the hub it will go out directly to US by slow boat, or there will be one more step in china before the slow boat.

You should probably have the laser in a week or so... but could be longer.

Personal experience... don't check until you're at day 25, and if you get the laser before that, be pleasantly surprised:)

When buying stuff from China.

1. Make order.
2. Forget about order.
3. Act surprised when it arrives 3 weeks later.

No joke here. I keep it out of mind completely. Then when it comes its a complete surprise.
 
@TJ: That's exactly what I do! Makes for a really nice time at the mailbox!
 
Same as t_j with the latest orders I placed. Though I was frustrated when I got an email 1 week after i placed the order on DX saying it was shipped. Now that was a surprise :banghead:
 
I've had tracking saying the stuff was still in China, then a day or two later it arrived.

You'd drive yourself crazy waiting.
 
AHH! I held on for as long as I can. I finally broke down and looked at it (the 24th) and tracking still says Origin post is preparing shipment!
Been stuck at that for 12 days
I loathe usps international tracking with a passion.

Very true, just forget that you ordered it. Don't worry yourself trying to track it(even if it has a number). Only keep an eye on that 2 month credit card limit for filing a claim.

Like TJ says, it will be like Christmas when it arrives a month after you placed the order.:san:
 
Oh I almost forgot! Does international shipping like that require a signature?
It is another laser from DL.
I work nights and sleep during the day when mail usually comes.
I just don't want to push the chance of me sleeping through it ya know.

As far as I remember, my SL I (US), and DinoDirect (INTL) packages required a signature, but I don't think all the DealExtreme ones needed signatures.

You should expect to need a signature.
 
If the package is international, and it's tracked, which yours is... than yes you will need to sign for it.

No worries if you sleep through it though, they will hold it at the post office for two weeks:)

You happen to know if they'll leave a note or notify me if they try to deliver?

(I just wanted to get all the facts down now so I or anyone else can use this thread as a reference)
