Well, that's it, guys!

Despite all of the evidence I provided PayPal, the tracking numbers, the emails from that sonuvabitch, etc., they ruled in his favor anyway!!

F-You PayPal!

For the builders out there. You better seriously consider not only who you are selling to, but how you are selling!

I believe from now on, I will be only doing PayPal gift payments...When I am not using Google Wallet.

Now, I am out $360 that I have to pay to PayPal before I can resolve my account with them!

This is freakin' killin me!

EDIT: For those not in the know...That's $360 out to an unscrupulous buyer AND the $225 to build the laser in the first place!

Need to build a remote activated self destruct into your lasers to render them inop for something like this. Haha. The gift is a good idea. Take out the whole buyer protection crap that apperently you can take advantage of with no proof.... The buyer would just have to be careful of who they send money too.

How the hell is that possible?!?!

I mean the I was under the impression the claim was for non receipt, and you had tracking, signature, and multiple messages that show he received the laser.

Likewise I may have to resort to gift only payments moving forward, if that's the case.

The signature was the only thing I didn't get in this. But, from now on:

I will ship no laser without signature required, insured and tracked, and paid for by the buyer

I will only accept PayPal gift payments. My reputation here can suffice for the buyers security in my product.

When using Google Wallet, I will only accept gift payments when sent in a confirmation email stating that it is they, they buyer authorizing the transaction, along with the contract of sale, in the email the payment is attached to.

I will of course still honor my warranties as they are expressed to the buyers...No DOA, up to spec, etc...I will always try to do right by my customers.

Simply put, I will not be giving any breaks to anyone, anymore, when it comes to protecting myself from this kind of fraud again!

Yeah I think I'm done selling to non vets / long-standing members. Your loss tops mine from eBay a few years ago ($400, same deal had to pay refund and total loss on merch).

Ouch, that sucks SBA :(

I nearly had a close call myself selling a laser to an EU member, but that was only for 150$. I would be very angry if I lost the amount you did.

Oh my god! How?! Have you contacted Paypal and asked for ran explanation? At the very least I would want to know what their damn reasoning was!
