Contact the PD. This is MAJOR harassment. If he contacts you anymore, then you can do something about it, id put a restraining order on him, it looks really bad on his record and something he will never be able to get rid of(he may even lose this job he speaks of). I'm so sorry Scumba.

Kartracer00 may have something there. It is a hassle but I had to get a restraining order myself. They will take away his guns at the very least. PM sent btw SBA :D

Every member here will be willing to accept a money order. I think they would be nuts not to.

Also as Hakzaw pointed out many times, the protection afforded a transaction through a money order is far greater. Though it would be a true cut and dry legal matter, with the immediate involvement of authorities, as opposed to a private entity like poopal.

I totally agree, when buying or selling in the U.S. Even though I have a PP acct., I prefer a money order, especially for higher cost items.
It's not nearly as fast, but you are protected by the USPS.

Most everyone I have dealt with on the forums has gladly accepted money orders, even if payment by PP has been specified.
Usually just a quick PM to the seller will verify if a MO is OK also.

I usually just get USPS M.O.'s right from the post office. IIRC, they are less than $2.00.
I also recently used W.U., that went well also, but the fees are a lot higher, at least when sending money internationally.

Currently, I am scared of Google Wallet's 180 protection. A douche bag like mattyd58 could just as easily say his account was hacked and make a claim...6 months later!

I would trust Bitcoin, but as yet, it is very unfriendly to the consumer and noobish.
I can barely figure out it's scheme.

Thanks for keeping us updated SBA. If there's any help I/we could supply, please let me know. On another note, I thought this is kinda cool: Listen to Bitcoin Everytime someone uses bitcoin to make a transaction a bubble pops and and makes a sound :p

PP sucks. I really hope something like bitcoin becomes the world currency eventually.

Just a heads up chaps,

While PrayPoo's system is flawed it can be even worse if the buyer uses a credit card to pay you. They can issue a "chargeback" up to 6 months later claiming "they did not authorise the transaction" and praypoo will take the money from you they spent without warning or any chance of appeal. PP in that case are required to do so and have no choice by law HOWEVER if you should get hit like that then being fine upstanding people you must of course report the fraud to the required authority in an effort to protect the cardholder.

Something worth looking at?

18 U.S.C.A. §§ 1341, 1342, Fraud, use of the US postal service to commit a fraud is a Class C Felony , a Class C Felony committed across a state line is a Federal Class B Felony.

Class B Felony accusations will almost always result in the authorities removing devices such as firearms from the accused persons possession :)

Deciding who is guilty of a "Fraud" is the job of the states DA, dump it on their office and let them decide :) "Theft" is serious, "Fraud" makes a theft charge look silly :)

Law Suits:

Irrespective of right or wrong, the simple facts are the one with the most money wins (unless you really believe OJ was innocent).

best wishes

Dave

Yup, I've been hit by the unauthorized transaction deal before, basically the bank stealing the money back of Paypal, nothing you can do about it.

Oh, there is if I don't give them my business in transactions like this.
