Can't decide which laser to get

Can you recommend some good lasers because I can't decide which ones to get and which companies are better. Right now I'm looking for a green laser that's >100mw or a red one that's >200mw. I've found the power rock 250mw red laser On o-like.com, is that a good one to get? I'd also like it to be under $80.

O-like sells good lasers. The goggles they sell are questionable though so buy those from somewhere else such as survival laser or OEM laser systems.

Is lazerer a good company also?

Lazerer is a pretty good company as far as overseas laser distribution is concerned. However lately I, as well as a few others, have had a few order mix ups. For the most part they're goggles mix ups. I was not sent my pair and someone else was sent the wrong pair.
Speaking of Goggles.... Get some. Or your eyes won't work and lasers will be of no use to you.

But all in all I have two lasers from Lazerer and are happy with them. Thank goodness I have an extra pair of red blocking goggles, Lazerer shipped my goggles they originally forgot to and they won't be here for a few weeks and I've had my lasers since Early December!

A 100mw green is brighter than a 250mw red, but does the red usually have a better beam?

DPSS beams are usually very thin and tight, but the smaller the beam width the worse the divergence is.

High power red and blue diodes are often multimode, which also has terrible divergence on the fast axis.

So, what are you looking for in a beam?

Alas, the eternal desire for all enthusiasts...

Personally Red lasers "tickle my fancy" they're incredible stable and have nice beams. Green lasers seem to mode hop and have crystals that can degrade as they are used. Personally I would say for a long lasting laser with stability, go for a nice 650nm laser. But if you want a real "awe-inspirer" that will not last as long and won't be as stable, go for a nice green laser. Of course there are very stable higher powered greens out there, but they are a bit over your $80 budget.

Go with a DPSS green laser or a proven singlemode diode laser then.

Multimode divergence is horrible, and not easily corrected. All the 445nm diodes above 100mW are multimode, and most of the high power 635nm and 650nm ones as well. If you find the divergence too high, you can always get a beam expander which will greatly lower the divergence.

My LOC build I made has amazing divergence, which is one of the reasons I like it so much. Even really far away, it's just crazy how small that dot is.

It's not that I dont believe you but I don't think my parents would let me buy a laser from a forum.
