 Well, here's the story. I ordered a 300mW green from Lazerer on the 16th I think. Then I heard about the Chinese lunar new year and how they would not resume business until Feb. 1st. So I contacted Max and got a full refund almost a week after placing my order :thanks: thanks again Max. So yesterday I get my refund and around 10am I order this laser from Clif at Cajunlasers.com (so happy with them!) ordered the express shipping for 16$, the laser was 230$ and it showed up today at 11am! a 25 hour delivery time! Rescue Laser 400mw 532nm water resistant [532400] - $229.99 : Cajunlasers Store

it came with 2 ultrafire 4000mah 18650's (black ones)
and the ultrafire 300mah (red)

I will do a FULL review this sometime this week (My LPM from Bluefan.nl will be here this week also :)) and I bought joeONLINE yesterday as well!

Nice delivery time!

How have the men in black not kicked down Clif's door yet for selling this thing on his site?

EDIT: Sold out. :(

have you tested it? how realistic is its 400mW? is it bright in real life? hows it burning?

p.s. it looks really nice

I ordered the second to last one >.<

No, I have not gotten to test it yet, however my LPM will be here this week!
soon, young skywalker soon...

It's got a great beam, super bright and it burns about the same as my arctic.

I got 285mW tonight, it may have still been climbing but that was well over 30 seconds. I'll test again later and see.

EDIT: tested again on 2/1012 and got 296mW.

Divergence is pretty wide, not as good as I was hoping. Still, outside at night it is pretty impressive. It is brighter and just about as tight as my survival lasers 445 1.238W beast!

You can't beat green for brightness!

I like the host, but I'm not sure if the optics are ideal. They are more or less glued in place so messing with them seems discouraged. For the money it is a nice looking, powerful green. I'm still looking for tight beam specs on one though.

Hmm, sucks that it's somewhat underspec. Did you try with a fully charged, good battery?

I've been debating whether to grab one from o-like for quite a while.

Btw, it should be a whole lot brighter, and have a tighter beam then your 1.2W... Have you also tested it for IR?

I have not tested for IR. I need to do that, what do I need to add to my gear on top of my laser bee A to test IR? Thanks,

You need an IR filter designed for 532nm lasers (they're cheap on eBay, mostly from Laserlands.net). Measure the laser without the filter, and then again with, and account for the loss of transmission @ 532 (usually 2%), then the difference in measurements is the amount of IR your laser emits.

You could use an IR filter... OR you can use two pairs goggles which are at least OD3.

Place one set of goggles on your head, in front of your eyes:p

Place the second set of goggles in front of the lpm.

Fire up the laser... anything that gets through is likely 808nm IR.

You may want to move the goggles around a bit (the ones in front of the LPM, not on your head:tinfoil:) so that you don't burn through them or leave marks.

Lazeerer has a video demonstrating this approach. Personally I prefer it over using an IR filter too, since I have lots of goggles on hand, but only tiny IR filters.

Aye, that works well too. But then if you find your beast is putting out 100mW of IR you may want to invest in an IR filter anyway =P !

Not really. I mean if you want to, sure you can, but personally I never saw a reason to install an IR filter.

Even with the best filter you end up producing some loss, and typically a less clean dot/beam.

If you have a name brand 18650 (AW IMR, panasonic, etc.) I've been told these lasers have higher mw output than with the stock xxxfires... guess they can't truly handle the high current draw from the 2 watt IR diode as well. I'm going to order some AW IMR's to try it out on my older version of your 400mw 532nm. With the cheapfires mine gets 450mw.

Do you know if the "lens" in the very front is an IR filter, or just part of the water-proofing?

If it isn't an IR filter, then taking it out might help me as well.

I tested again tonight and got 296mW but then it started to drop off.
