If you want to fork over $60-70 for a burning blu-ray laser capable of what you described, and use it for what you described, you need your priorities set straight.

You're thinking of using these lasers in a way to cause damage. That does not make you any better than people who want to shine lasers at eyes and planes. It's as stupid as it's irresponsible.

Save those $60 and buy yourself something nice. And about your relationship with roommate, it's your problem that you can't handle any interpersonal communication, lack of which displayed right here, instantly getting in fight with like 5 members at once.
And yes, before you even ask, I live in a dorm with two roommates. I have not yet seen in this entire dorm with 300 students a room with two roommates which are fighting or generally not getting along.

It's your problem. Don't give this hobby a bad name just because you have issues.

First.... He would be CONFUSED like WTF????

Then he would be in aw over the device. We have been both talking about doing this project for sometime. It would not start an argument. As far as getting in fights, I am here to learn about lasers not get bulled by smart asses that are trying to get personal. If people continue to lash out personal. I will too, nothing wrong with. Why would I start making assumptions about your education just to test your interpersonal communication, NOT COOL. Now, if I ask what happens if I point a laser in my cats eye.......Then there u go open season, but when I describe a experiment to witch none of you, and I mean "NONE" of you have any idea about, then you look stupid by assuming I'm five running around damaging things. This is not the debate forum, tho It seems that's all I have done with the elite members. Thanks Guys


P.S. Any self respecting member would send a PM regarding any issiues..You know for integrity sake.

The reason for good punctuation on here is because there are international users on here whereby English is not their first language so they use language translators, just makes it easy for them :)

Listen to me. Read carefully, however you want to put it.

You are asking us to advise you how to do something that NOT ONE perfectly sane laser enthusiast (every person on this forum) would EVER do.

*Correction, any sane person. Not just laser enthusiast.

So, we can continue on the debate or you can admit to yourself that what you are asking is childish and unrational.

I see you've already got your portion of negative reputation. You can think bad about every one of us, I know you already are. Just think about the fundations of your hate.

If you can't figure it out, it's good that nobody advised you on anything what-so-ever. Sure, information and advices are all out in the forum, but you won't be able to put it together anyhow. If you could, you would already do so.

Your getting too deep on this man. You really think I am going to do something to make my living situation uncomfortable. I understand your passion and concern man, you are assuming things. Its really not fair for you to make liable accusations In front of other members. Seeing how there no context in in text. Is it wrong to get upset about someone putting me down about my sexual preference, education. I know you are an educated person I can tell by your post. I know you know were i am coming from.

All I was saying, is your intented use of powerful (and dangerous) laser device, and logic behind it from my point of view.

Nobody brought up education and everything else, but you.

I am not talking about that. I'm talking about possible dangers of using laser device in a way you described. That is all I'm putting you down about, nothing else.

Opening question of this post has nothing much to do with common sense, either.
All you had to do was open up few review threads, see some replies to same questions posted before, see some very useful links some people have in their signatures about getting your first laser (first to come to mind are goninan_blood and mfo, though there are more).

All you had to do was spend like 1 hour of good reading here on the forums and all this would have been avoided.

If you don't know what kind of laser do you need or from where, I sure don't trust you to know what are possible dangers of using such device and how to properly use it.

Everybody here who did NOT answer your original question in way you wanted, or PMed you with the same answer is probably agreeing here.

No I do not know where "are you coming from" nor what did you actually mean by that. Must be some of English phrases that somehow slipped beside me, you know me being from Croatia, non-English speaking country, having to learn to decypher such phrases.
