Hi M,
there should be a + or - to designate the diode contacts. LD- or LD+ need a better pic of the driver.. What's on the other side of the driver. Ask the person you bought to send you a wire diagram for it. I don't you chinese drivers they are inconsistent. DTR has the best ones that Lazeerer makes

Cheers for the reply. There's a better picture of the driver. Just thought the current adjust side was positive or a tell tale way of distinguishing which side was which if ya get me ?

So what are you using for a module.. it's usually not advised to solder a diode thats not in a module first.. lacks heatsinking.. also if it's a press in module you really can't press it in with leads on it.. if it is a m140 there are plenty of pinout pics on here and I'm pretty sure dtrs website

Other side of driver

Christ, soldering on that driver is terrible, cheap Chinese/eBay job?

Does the product listing have any diagrams showing you which pads are which?

You will kill that M140 soldering it outside of a module surely... you still pose a risk even inside of the module when soldering if you hold it onto the pin for to long it will greatly reduce output.

I always cut the case pin short on M140 diodes.. use some multimeter to find negative and positive of the driver maybe you can find it, or ask who sold it where the solder points are.

Bought from DTR's shop. I'm learning as I go pal. Cheers for the advice. It's comments like these that point me in the right direction!
