I'd be interested to see the driver they are using.

Hehe.. if they slash prices tenfold i'm ordering one.

The driver is obviously a boost converter, but doesnt have to be of good quality since most common blu ray diodes can handle much more power, so there is plenty of margin for error.

at first when i saw that on their site i thought it said $17 dollars and i about ordered 5, lol

I wonder how they can ship these 30mW BRs to the same countries that they can't ship green 30mW lasers to... :-/

Also, it appears to have a lack of focusing ability, which is a must for diode laser, so forget burning. Plus, it can't use rechargeable batteries, and all for ONLY $170 - yea right! ::)

It looks like a rush-to-market thing to make a few buck before the FDA catches on. There are much better deals for Bluray right here on LPF in the Buy-sell-trade section and so on. ;)
