Finally found a cap that was the right diameter for fitting over the head of the BFG. Makes it so you don't have to worry about dust in the lens.

This is the cap for a Cmount surveillance camera. It also fits over the end of my DIY red dorcy.
I'm working on a retailer that sells just the caps for sending to rick so that he has caps for his laser. that and to send to SenKat for his DIY dorcy's

of course I keep forgetting that it's there and have burned a nice circle on the inside of the cap. I'm like "HA! FLASH OF INTENSE GREEN LIGHT. (nothing) WTF? OH DANG I'M DUMB."

looks similar to the cap on a 35mm film case, you tried one of them?

I have not. Most 35mm cases I've seen have a smaller lip that fits into the barrel of the film canister. would not lend well to fitting over the outer diameter of the laser. of course they may have changed them since I've last played with them.

Well, the 35mm case and/or lid is too big for using as a cap. Went to wallyworld and picked up a few and it's a no go!
