Hi guys, I'm little bit annoyed at the moment after what I feel is a rather unfair attack at my reputation but still I have come to seek some advice. I was looking to buy a blue-ray laser, from here http://hightechdealz.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=10 = laser
and then turning it into a labby, but I am having second thoughts and thinking about getting a green laser as the dot is so bright and the beam is awesome. I am really confused on what I want, a blue ray laser which can make stuff glow (is the beam/dot actually blue? or is it more of a purple? I cant get an accurate colour as different cameras see it differently.)

So I'm asking which would be a good laser of high quality at 532nm wavelength pre-assembled and ready to go for around $80 as I will be buying the blue/green eye protection as well from dragon lasers. just to see what I can get for my money and what you guys would recommend as a good pointer.

Thanks for any help or advice you can offer, I appreciate it.

Optotronics has the best of the best but probably beyond your budget. Save and buy one from them or from a builder here.

Save your reputation here by treating others the way you want to be treated. This is a smaller forum and more personal, act like a human being and you'll get along fine. Go to a "chan" if you need to write silly stuff.

Thanks for the advice on the laser, as for my reputation it was on a thread regarding an error about a wavelength on another site, I said that it is likely they didn't talk English, or it was someone with a lack of education in lasers and was then accused of being racist.

Now that's a very serious claim being made, and one I personally am quite hurt by. And I would always treat someone as I would want to be treated and am quite aware of the etiquette required by small forums and personally I cannot see what is "silly" about A. what I wrote, or B. what I am being accused off.

Hey Asherz...
since you bring it up in 2 other posts....
that's not exactly what you said... even though you deleted it... what did say was........
"lol, I bet the person that was making the pages probally doesn't even talk english, or has a lack of education :p"
I guess someone didn't appreciate your comment.... and let you know... ::)

@laser83 BTW... I don't know how many members are on the other forums that you are a member of...
but FYI.... LPF has 6918 members as of last count.... hardly a small forum...IMO

But I agree with the rest of your comment...

Over 120,000 members on another forum I frequent. ;) People become less and less civil the larger the group and the greater the feeling of anonymity. It's different here very nice. Elsewhere threads go extremely fast and good luck remembering anyone.

Back on topic... Try NOVAlasers.
They are a little pricey but they are top quality for a great price. Plus you can get a 5% discount when you use the code WARP5.
You can also check out Optotronics' premium pen lasers.
Dragonlasers sells lasers similar to NOVA and prices are close.

If you're not too concerned with some minor assembly, you can get a pen host and a module from o-like. That will probably be your cheapest option.

Thanks for the info guys,

I can see where your coming from, and I can understand it may of offended someone but I just found the word racist a little strong, I know how to behave in a small community aswell considering I am apart of a forum with not much more than 40 active members (it's invite only.)

But owell, it's the end of it you won't hear me moaning again :)

I will check out novalasers awell, but I just wanna get both lol... the green will be fun for shows and beams, but the blue is awsom aswell..

Just out of question how visible is a 405nm blue beam? at night? and is it like a deep purple? Think I'll end up with going with the blue-ray now anyway since the greens are quite expensive.. Ill just get a 50mw from DX or something.
