Okay im new to this laser business and i have a simple 5mw green DX lazer and i love it but i want something with some heat. i was going to pot mod it but after continually seeing people say pot mod burns the laser up quick i decided i wanted to just get a more powerful laser for burning. I'm located in the U.S Lakeland Florida to be exact and i know there are restrictions with the customs but after careful research i decided i was gunna go with a laser from o like. But i had a problem. which is the best laser out of the 3 red lasers that o like offers? burning capability, brightness, build quality, overall performance.

^ya, I love my dilda, and if us customs worries you, you should have the batteries and charger shipped separately. Just ask Susie to do that for ya and she'll have no problem.

I heard the dildas were good. But I'm really leaning more forwards the waterproof one or the new style. I heard build. quality was pretty good on both. And I think a waterproof laser is badass.

The dilda has one big advantage: Using 3,6V batteries will boost output to ~230mW, while the new-style, and possibly the waterproof one has a curcuit that prevents this.

Right I think I might get the new one as well. I really like the style and it looks bulkier which I like.

If you get the old style dilda it does come with a new driver they put on. I opened my old style dilda up and it does come installed, I ordered my dilda with separate shipping. And I ordered it on the December of 2009 and it came in January 20, 2010. So yeah if you do get the old style dilda you will definitely get the new driver that I heard won't have the capability of getting any higher power out of the laser even if you use 3.6v cr2's. But it's still a pretty kick ass laser you won't go wrong with O-like:lasergun:

Howdy, neighbor . Where in Lakeland do you live? I live off of Galloway/Airport Rd.
An O-like Old Style was the first laser I bought and still one of my favorite burners. I have seen a peak of 270mW out of it ,using 3.6 batteries.

I like the look of the new style red better and since there is no performance advantage i think i might go with that one. Do both lasers have clicky or toggle style on/off buttons???

Unfortunately not!
The 3,6V batteries aren´t able to boost the dilda´s output power (old style/new style) any longer. Both of them got new drivers. I tested it myself, read it here and asked Susie. She would also prefer the 3V batteries, because the 3,6V are going to decrase the diode´s life time a lot.
