I am looking for a green module, last time O-like and such were around, but they seem to have gone, who do people use now, has any other companies opened up or is DX my best bet for quality/value. Bear in mind i am in UK so Chinese sites are preferential due to their free shipping. Otherwise I think i will go with Odicforce as have used in past and they seem a good honest company, even offering to test units and sell on true output.

Thanks Ian.

Fasttech is 'usually' a reliable site for reasonably fast shipping.

They carry a '5mW' 532nm module for 5 bucks. Most modules will be about 50mW. With the current increased to 430ma some modules have been metered at 140mw.

But it also depends on what you're looking for. Are you looking for value for money or quality?

Bit of both really, don't want to pay a fortune, but at same time don't want to buy junk. There is a UK company selling 50Mw (power checked) for £20 which I guess is about $30 and they have 120-150Mw green modules for £50 (about $80 i think) they are reputable and been around along time, so I would have no doubts about their power figures.

I will have a look at Fasttech as always had good service.

When adjusting the pot on the greens is there a way to tell when enough is enough so as no tto destroy it?

Had a look on Fasttech, which one is recommended? I want to use on a laser sight that had a faulty unit so it needs a spring on the driver, how difficult is it to weld springs on? I am no expert but have soldered laser diodes/drivers in the past so no complete beginner.
