Beam expander AND new lens worth it?

FIrst of all I do not even know if a beam expander will fit the laser I plan on getting, regardless I am curious and so I'm posting this thread.

A new lens and housing seems like a good idea, I guess i would buy them from a member on our forum, I have seen some selling and all the rave reviews.

I have NOT seen a lot of talk about beam expanders. Yes i did a search and it wasn't all too helpful.

SO DO you guys who have beam expanders like them?
Are they worth the money
Where did you buy yours
and is it easy to put on

this is the laser I am planning on purchasing, any of these, most likely the more expensive one

if your getting the 350~400mW i dont think that it would need to much or any focusing to burn. but i guess with that strength if you mounted a beam expander on you could make a a cool never ending light saber with little of no smoke.

Just for the record, those lasers use a different module than the standard >150mW ones do, so changing the housing (or "host") can't happen with the readily available ones here on the forum, also the lenses being sold are designed specifically for 405nm (blu-ray) or 650nm (red), will NOT fit these lasers, and would not give you an appreciable increase in power with 532nm...

Susies larger green lasers have earned mixed reviews here (the search button is friendly - don't be afraid of it) with the powers generally being accurate, but the beam divergence and quality leaving something to be desired (but again, a small tradeoff for the attractive price point). If a quality beam is your goal, stick with Laserglow or Optotronics, if big power for small $ is OK with you, then Susies handhelds offer great bang for your buck, and I'd say go as big as your budget allows.

Or you could just go with Optotronics RPL Portable Green Lasers

A little more expensive but they have a great divergance and John-Lawson's RPL 350 peaks at 500 somethings so

I've ordered a popular adjustable-focus Green laser...
to test for power increases with the "no spring" Hi-Power lens assemblies.

I will also check the beam characteristics, before and after.

its a 375 and peaks at 565 or so at initial 30 seconds then settles at the 390-425 range usually but it depends on the weather colder the better lol

Well I am not gettin o-like, and don't have enough for rpl so I'm getting a CNI, would those fit new lenses

And yes I did search I saw jayrobs review on the o-like ones
