I have a cheaper green laser. Its fun to play with and obviously isn't as powerful as it says it is. It has the rechargable 18650. I was wondering after looking around is there other batteries that can be used in this pointer and are they going to work better or increase power. I would love to learn how to build simple lasers. Just putting it out there for more knowledgable member to maube offer some insight

That battery, maybe not your model, but that 18650 is generally considered the best battery in our hobby. You will not get more power by swapping out the battery. In your case the battery is not your weakest link. It is probably your actual green module in your laser. In which case you just have the power you have. There really isn't anything you can do to your laser to get a noticeable power increase. Next time if you want a more powerful laser, buy one.

I have learned a lot already from links provided. Thanks to the members! Don't understand what the I guess there called "drop in" is when I have my host and ready to put my driver and module inside the host. What is it that fills the space around my opening and look so well with the focus just to the outside. Looking to order my modules today and hope to have progress on my first build soon
