Battery Question

Hello,

I am going to be buying a green, 200mW Rayfoss laser soon and I have a few questions about the batteries I should be using. This is the laser:

It can use either a Li-Ion 18650 or CR2, and I was wondering if it absolutely MUST be using a Li-Ion battery.
Also, which battery would be better to use in this laser?
Finally, Faona ships batteries and a charger with this laser; Does anyone know if she ships a 18650 and a CR2, and what battery is the charger built for (if not both)?

The laser can use any battery of 3VDC up to 4.2VDC.

The #18650 is the battery to use for the higher capacity.

Yes. And the smaller battery wouldn't last as long before a re-charge is needed.

As for the charger, can I charge one 18650 at a time if it is built to charge two?
And to make sure, the laser can use Lithium-Ion or regular batteries? Faona told me to use Li-Ions but I'll use regulars if it is fine.

Just get the 18650 -- They have POWER. PERIOD

I think that the website has a misprint. I believe it is supposed to say 18650 or RCR123A. CR2 is a much smaller diameter than 18650 and would not even fit in the body unless they included a sabot type spacer. The picture shows a cell that looks to be an RCR123A.

That being said, I would think that you could use a CR123A primary cell if you wanted to. I would imagine that somewhere in the world an 18650 size primary exists, but I have never seen one myself.

If you have a charger that does 2x18650 at once, YES you can charge just one at a time if you wish.
