Are you sick from the smoke smell from burning stuff with your 1 watt laser?
or trying to hide the fact that u have been burning things with a dangerous laser?

Get ozium, the best deodorizer, spray some wait a few minutes then all the smoke smell is alll gone, you can buy it from amazon or ebay. not sure about walmart or whatever.

febreeze only covers up the smell for a few minutes then u can still smell the smoke, ozium destroys all the particles.

Im not sure if its been addressed here or not.. A while back I read that certain
materials when burnt with laser produce fumes that aren't normally produced
when burning with fire...

IIRC, human flesh was one of them, and a concern for doctors in the O.R.

That in mind, its not a bad idea to strap a couple of PC fans to one end of
a common plastic dryer hose, and place the outlet through a window..

I have a vent setup even for the solder and flux smoke, which I use when
burning stuff..

Covering up the smells wont get rid of any unseen hazards..

When we bought the new house, I sectioned off a nice area for
my work with air filtration and a vent for etching, anodizing, soldering etc.

You can see part of the hose running along the wall here... A quick DIY of this costs less than 50$
and is worth it if you dont want to breathe god knows what..

That's also a very good idea, I have read that some of the plastis that are burnt with a laser give of toxic fumes. Old PC floppies are one of the worst.

I don't mind the burning smell. Sometimes it's actually nice.
Hair, natural rubber (like the bottom of a mouse pad or tires), and leather wallets and purses STINK though. Pencils and erasers smell pretty bad too.

Best bet if you're burning stuff is increase ventilation. Running an air freshener equipped with GAC (Granulated Activated Carbon) will also adsorb all the foul smelling particulates.

Don't spose that 50$ includes the guns? :D
In all seriousness though that's a pretty nice idea might do one myself at some point.

Actually the riffle was a 10$ pellet gun before I worked some magic
on it :D

Realistically, yes, you could do it all for less than 50$ still
