This kit will be given away to someone at the end of February. Whenever someone donates to the forum, their name will be added to the list below. Your name may only be added once, and the amount donated does not matter. Donating more/less will not increase/decrease your chances of winning. This is just an incentive for people to donate to help with the recent legal fees.
At the end of the month, someone name will be drawn (most likely by a chosen third-party) and that person will win the kit.
I will cover shipping for any USA/Canada winner. Other international winners must pay for shipping costs of their preferred method to receive the gift.

Donated. It feels good! And winning that kit would, too! Of course, being someone who has only built a mini-maglite DVD-burner laser, I would need help building one in this!

Thanks! Giving always does feel good.

People at work give me hell because when we transport patients to the city, we'll drive by homeless people begging. I'll normally give them $5-$10, and my co-worker always says "They're just going to spend it on drugs or alcohol."
Chances are they probably will, but if they are hungry that night, it wasn't because i turned my back on them. Plus on top of that it makes me feel good for giving, so i do it more for myself than for them.

anyways, I'll update the list as soon as the donations update with the names.

I have difficulty in rationalizing giving money to bums on the street. I worked too long around many of them to forget that many of them choose that lifestyle and rely upon the kindness and gullibility of others to feed their self destructive habits. Remember, that which you subsidize, you get more of. Basic rule of economics. You subsidize bums who contribute nothing to society, and you end up with more indigents that leech off the work of others. See San Francisco as an example.

But to give money to a great board that provides a great arena for learning and debate while gathering a wealth of great information, I have no problem with that at all.

I agree and beautifully said...especially the second paragraph.

Definately worth a +1 in my book!
