hi,
i got those arc lamps which i mentioned some time ago.
i changed em last thursday, so now i got 8 of them.
they are used (1000 hrs), but are still good enough for experiments.
voltage is 246VDC as seen on description, an MUST be watercooled!
safety goggles are a MUST, since the lamps are filled with krypton under high pressure.
the amount of light is approx 10,000-20,000W max.
they were used to pump 4 x nd:yag rods = 2000W laserpower.
if you're still interested in one or more of these lamps, leave a message and i will send them to you for free (shipping costs are for you of course).
of course, if you can make em work, let us know!

When he says protective goggles and high pressure krypton -- He isn't kidding !! Please be careful with these lamps - Know what you are doing.

Hey Greg - if you're interested and seriously going to get into Nd:YAG - I might be interested in a trade of my 12" Nd:YAG rod for diode lasers... some Sonys, greens... something along those lines.

If you're interested, PM me.

something big is coming.. i feel it! :)

don't know how much that is in metric, but since 2 of those lamps pump a 30cm nd:yag rod (all = watercooled 200L/Hr using demineralized water)===> 500W output power.
With 500W yag-power and the proper focussing lenses you can even weld some stainless steel (<1mm thick)
I normally use 1000Watts at 0,016 meters per second and with Nitrogen as protection gas to weld 1mm stainless steel...
NO color deformation ...!!!

(Just for your information what you can do with 500W yag-power.....)

so, including packaging, how much weight is one?

And for those too lazy to look it up, 1€ is approximately 1 .5 $ (1 .45 to be a bit more exact).
