@ Anyone who sells things on LPF

I'm not asking for an answer, your free to disclose as much information as you like, and no figures at all.

But you guys that sell stuff on here, the "Big Dawgs" so to speak, do you make a fair amount, for example, THIS is your job, or you have other jobs, and just do this for spare money to plunder on more laser

I was intrigued about this from the start.. could you technically live solely on the proceeds from selling things on here.

A few people on here make some money selling lasers, laser kits, and everything else laser related.

However in all cases, where individuals (not companies) are concerned, AFAIK it is strictly supplemental income. (Big reason is the amount of time that people put into their products. I mean on some of the builds that come up... forgetting the cost of components... the amount of labor that goes into the items is incredible, and certainly outweighs the profits.)

Most people do it as an enjoyable hobby, and making a bit of money is incidental.

Also if you look around you'll see that LPF can be EXTREMELY competitive in terms of pricing. Which is great for those of use who are 98% consumers

Being what it is... I wouldn't quit your day job, simply because you can solder, and have a lathe.

Of course another seller is always good news

Indeed, plus you don't even need that much paint... I could do 200 hosts with about 200ml of paint.

i wonder how much those who sell here donate to the cause?

I sold 1 thing to an lpf member & donated $10 (was 10% of my sale).
I did it more to support the great sharing of know-how everyone does here...
