Anyone have a handful of peltiers (TECs) they're not using?

Back in the day, Mohrenburg gave me a bunch of peltiers from A140s, so I have a bunch of those on hand. I'm looking for a dozen or so more.

Does anyone have a bunch they don't need? I'm happy to pay for them. Neat project in mind :)

What size do you need? I think I still may have a few that didn't perform well as an LPM sensor, they are all smaller ones though.

Look up coolit systems usb beverage chiller.

They have a 1.57 inch square TEC in them.
I got one on eBay for $10 not 3 weeks ago.

They are massively underpowered in the chiller but can be dropped to -18 Celsius using a bench power supply. and a few screws are all that hold them in.

Whatever the smaller ones, initially in the A140, measured - that's more or less what I'm looking for.

I would imagine they use the 12706 tec. You can actually buy those on eBay for about $2.50. Not sure they're as good as the TECs in the A140 though.

I think those are 30mm^2 or 40mm^2 TEC's?

The reject LPM ones are most 8mm^2 an 10mm^2 ones.

well I can tell you one thing there way better than the crappy copper ones from the led module in those projectors. Not sure if the copper tec is the one your referring to.

It is - the copper ones are the ones I'm after.

You think the (porcelain?) ones are better? If so, that's an easy route, because they're cheap. The 12706 modules are all over ebay.

Just wondering. Why are the copper ones crappy? in what way? I have three of those but haven't gotten around to trying them out.

For what i needed them for I needed cold And I could barely get the copper ones below freezing.
The ceramic ones however I can freeze a few drops of water on the TEC in less than 20 seconds.
IIRC I got the ceramic one I had to -21 Degrees Celsius.

It all depends on how cold you want them.

So after using eBay TECs as suggested..... well, I'm back here looking for the copper guys again ;)

If anyone has any, I would be greatful for the heads up. I'm looking for the copper TECs that are 30mm x 30mm and came off of the old A140s. I need about six of them. Let me know what a reasonable price would be.

Also - if anyone wants the dozen eBay TECs I bought, they're yours (I just need to make sure I find the copper ones first)

Whats wrong with the Ebay one you got.
I may be interested in them depending on price and how cold they get.

EDIT : I think I have a copper one Dave gave me a wile back let me look around for it. you can have it for the price of shipping.
