A toddler at the mall was having a tantrum. The family was standing around exasperated, not knowing what to do. I aimed a 5mW green dot in their direction, scooting it quickly around on the floor. The crying stopped. Everyone was startled. The tot's older brother said, "what was that??". I walked on, unnoticed.

Nice! You did a good deed. :)

There must be a thing with bright collimated photons being attractive to the entire age spectrum, from toddlers to us. :D

Cheers!

And another use: A black widow spider was crawling on the wall in the living room, almost to the ceiling. I grabbed the 700mW blue and gave it a direct hit. Nothing happened at first, but as I got closer, maintaining aim, the spider teetered and fell , dead, behind a cabinet. Don't mourn for this spider; black widows are nasty, and they eat mainly benefical insects.

There was a large spider in the bathroom I whipped out my 1.2W and made his abdomen explode :lasergun::eg:

Gross! Popped it like a balloon. Speaking of balloons, in theory only, it would be funny to use a laser to wipe out a lot of balloons at a carnival midway's "balloon pop" game. Forget darts, use a laser!

I've used my 12x on a few ants from about 4 feet away. They didn't even put up a fight.

I was building a laser outside on a nice day and this big ass blow fly kept flying near/landing on my feet, i kicked it away a few times then forgot about it...

Then it bit me on the foot and there was blood WTF!

I was enraged, no-one makes me bleed my own blood! i devised a plan to catch a kill that mofucker, i caught it in a glass jar, it was going mental flying around in there as i taunted it by pulling faces at it, then i got my 2W+ 445nm out.
I put my glasses on, then put the dot on the blow fly, he went even more mental trying to avoid the laser.

He lay on the bottom of the jar doing roflcopters:

as i burnt its face off, when i was done it looked like it had been put in a fire...

I was so satisfied with my revenge.

Needless to say, that blow fly isnt going to bother anyone else again

I recently got a injury, a poke w/ a sharp pointed 3 sided pointed metal object... I rinsed in water and even in hydrogen peroxide, but after about 2 min, I saw, the bleeding just refused to stop. So, put on my OEM laser systems goggles, & I pulled out my 2W 445 laser and w/ a painless one sec. blast I cauderized the wound, and went back to work with no problems at all. Later, I healed completely in 4 days, and one of my paramedic pals said, OK I need one of those! ;) -Glenn

Wow, that's incredible. +1 for you!

Did it really not hurt for the second? No scars either?

I'll remember to try that when I have my 445 handy.

Cheers!
